As soon as we saw The Engine Shed in Lincoln, we knew it was an ideal venue for us to put on another rock and pop concert, following in the footsteps of our immensely popular BeVox Rocks concert back in 2015. We also knew we wanted to make this a charity fund-raising concert, and after asking our Lincoln-based singers which charity they would like to support, they overwhelmingly chose St Barnabas Hospice. As a result, we were able to raise well over £2,000 for this amazing local charity.
The programme featured songs ranging from the classic stadium rock of We built this city, The final countdown and You took the words right out of my mouth, to modern pop such as Katy Perry's Roar and Christina Aguilera's The voice within. We featured some great solo performances too, with songs such as Bon Jovi's It's my life and Mr Mister's Broken wings.
With over 120 singers taking part, and a near-capacity crowd, the concert was a roaring success, and we can't wait to return to Lincoln with our next big event in Spring 2019.
